Mélange Sculpture Kernia Belizaire, created with paper mâché, magazines, posterboard

I made this sculpture out of cut up magazines, poster board, green papier mâchè, glue, and Styrofoam. It was a fun project to do, and even though I was lost at first as to what I was trying to create I think it ended up quite well.

I was able to get a bit more creative with a variety of elements available to me as opposed to the last sculpture I made with clay (it will be up soon, promise). Originally this was just supposed to be made out of paper mâchè, but then I pulled out an old magazine that I wanted to throw out—then came the old poster boards—and I just figured why not put these items into good use?

Reduce, reuse, recycle. This is my current circle of life.

So if you have old things that you want to throw out why not make something creative out of it?

When I finished making the sculpture the leftovers were used to make a sculpture stand.
